9/8/2025 Daily Devotion: Know And Go

Isaiah 30:18-21 NASB - Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who long for Him. O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you. Although the Lord has given you bread of privation and water of oppression, He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

We are all rebellious. You. Me. Every single one of us rebels against our Creator God. But OH HOW HE LOVES US.

• In the midst of our rebellion & utter weakness, our LOVING FATHER GOD has a standing offer to us: “Return to me and be saved. Rest in me and be saved. Be still in me and find strength. Trust in me and be strengthened.”

• Do you long for His Rest today?

• Does what you face today require His Strength?

• Are you seeking His Salvation?

• God is offering you RESTORATION in Him! No matter how great your rebellion … God is offering you His Love, His Forgiveness, His Peace, and His Strength … when you Trust & Obey Him.

Not only will we find His Love, Forgiveness, Peace, & Strength to restore us to Him … but we will find His Purpose and His Direction to GUIDE US forward through this life!

• We will see God’s Purpose for our adversity & affliction … to STRENGTHEN & SUSTAIN us in Him.

• God promises to work all of our mistakes, failings, rebellions, hurts, abuses, betrayals, trials, tribulations, and sorrows together FOR OUR GOOD … when we Trust & Obey Him.

• We will receive God’s personal Direction for our lives … literally “Go here, go there” from the Almighty Creator God of the Universe!!

• God did not just spin all of creation into existence and leave … He is INTIMATELY INVOLVED in your life! … He. Is. Talking. To. You. … Can you hear Him? Do you recognize His Voice? Do you care what He is saying?

• God’s Salvation does not just cleanse our past … it clarifies our future path & calls us to follow Him through it!

The Christian Life is KNOWING GOD (experiencing His Love, Forgiveness, Peace, Joy, Hope & Rest) SO THAT you can have His Strength, Courage, Endurance & Faithfulness to FOLLOW HIM through the life of Impact He has prepared for you.

KNOW HIM so that you can FOLLOW HIM.
