9/2/2025 Daily Devotion: God's Plan

Ephesians 1:10 ESV - … a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Ephesians 2:10 ESV - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Do you ever wonder what God’s Plan is? What is God’s end game with all of this? Why Creation? Why Jesus? Why you? Why me?

Well, Paul spells it out for us here in Ephesians 1:10! … God’s Plan is to UNITE ALL THINGS IN JESUS.

• We were created to be UNITED WITH GOD through Jesus but very quickly chose to go our own way … choosing our self over communion with Him.

• The result of our choice of SELF over God? … Division from God. Separation from God. A loss of communion & intimacy WITH GOD. Living a life divided from God.

Did our choice of self over God change His Plan? … BY NO MEANS!

• We created a divide that Jesus came to bridge!

• Jesus’ Death & Resurrection made a way for us to be REUNITED WITH GOD.

• Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life … uniting to God all who follow Him.

Do you know what completely blows my mind though? … you & I were created to participate WITH GOD in His Plan!

• We see this in Ephesians 2:10 … God created you & me for a specific PURPOSE.

• He has Good Works prepared for us to do … Good Works designed just for you & just for me … He has also DESIGNED, CREATED & DEVELOPED you & me specifically for those Good Works!

• God designed us to play specific roles in His Plan to UNITE ALL THINGS IN JESUS!

Do you know what role He has designed you for? … He does!

Do you know what Good Works He has prepared for you to do? … He does!

Is He calling you right now to step out in Faith to join Him in executing His Plan? … He is!

The God of the Universe has a Plan … and you & I have a specific Purpose in His completion of that Plan … shouldn’t we figure out what that Purpose is and DO IT?
