8/29/2025 Daily Devotion: Your Story Matters!

Revelation 12:11 NASB - And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.

Romans 12:1-2 NASB - Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Your story matters! The story of God’s Work in your life, the story of Christ’s Victory in your life, the story of the Spirit of God moving in your life … YOUR STORY is what Jesus’ Sacrifice on the cross has made possible!

• Jesus’ shed blood on the cross made it possible for us to be RIGHT WITH GOD.

• Jesus’ Resurrection made it possible for Him to live THROUGH US.

It is the combination of His Sacrifice & His Life that powers us to sacrifice our own self and live a life of TESTIMONY TO HIM.

• Romans 12 gives us a picture of this.

• When we choose to SACRIFICE our self to God …. God TRANSFORMS us … so that we can recognize & walk in HIS WILL.

• Our TESTIMONY is simply OUR STORY of how God has TRANSFORMED us & what GOD’s WILL has led us to experience.

The enemy is defeated when we claim the BLOOD OF CHRIST through sacrifice and then give testimony of the LIFE OF CHRIST in & through us!

• Have you been TRANSFORMED? Has God given you a new identity in Him? … TELL. THAT. STORY.

• Have you stepped out in Faith to follow Him? Have you experienced His Provision when your own understanding was full of doubts? … TELL. THAT. STORY.

• God has given you YOUR STORY to share with others!

Many American Christians will claim His Blood as the sacrifice for their sins and then put that on a shelf to use again when they need to get into Heaven … they provide no word of testimony, no evidence of the LIFE of Christ actively working through them, no story of transformation, no tales of obedience, no experiences of pursuing God’s Will over their own understanding … they continue to love their own lives more than His Life.

• The enemy is not defeated in those lives!
