8/28/2025 Daily Devotion: His Oasis

Isaiah 35:1-10 NASB - The wilderness and the desert will be glad, and the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; like the crocus it will blossom profusely and rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the LORD, the majesty of our God. Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, “Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, but He will save you.” Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah. The scorched land will become a pool and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the haunt of jackals, its resting place, grass becomes reeds and rushes. A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it; these will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Oh the GLORY OF GOD and His plans for us!

Does this life feel like a dry & desolate wilderness desert? … void of and aching for life?

• God’s Purpose brings gladness, joy, and abundance to our environment! … HE BRINGS LIFE!

Do your efforts feel weak? Does your Faith feel shaky? Is your heart anxious?

• BE STRONG!

• FEAR NOT!

• YOUR GOD WILL SAVE YOU!

When you step into His Promise, you will:

• Gain vision to SEE His Path

• Develop awareness to HEAR His Voice

• Be strengthened to PURSUE His Call

• Discover a SONG of Gratitude

The way we interpret our circumstance and the environment we find ourselves in is completely influenced by our AWARENESS OF GOD.

• When we see, hear, follow, and praise Him, our wilderness can be TRANSFORMED into an oasis by His Glory & Majesty!

How do we experience this transformation? How do we access this oasis in the wilderness? … THE REDEEMED SHALL WALK THERE.

• We experience God’s Redemption when we accept the Sacrifice of Jesus as atonement for our sin by declaring Him LORD of our life!

• Jesus’ death covers our sin when we let His Life lead our lives.

God’s REDEMPTION transforms our wilderness into His Oasis.

• Whenever we lose sight of Him and return to an inward focus on our self, we find ourselves wandering in the wilderness again …

• … but GOD IS WITH US and His Presence always comes with the Peaceful reality of His Oasis whenever we turn back to Him!

Dry & desolate? REMEMBER HIM. Take up your cross of Redemption. Experience His transformation. Return to His promise.
