Philippians 4:4-7 ESV - Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The Bible tells us not to fear, not to be anxious, over 300 times … BUT HOW DO WE DO THAT?!
Good news! The Bible tells us that too! 🤓
REJOICE in The Lord ALWAYS!
Instead of ALWAYS finding JOY in The Lord HIMSELF … We tend to SOMETIMES look for HAPPINESS in God-adjacent THINGS.
Knowing God, truly KNOWING GOD, will bring His Joy into every second of our lives.
Our Joy is found in His Presence and in Who He is … and that never changes!
Do not be anxious about ANYTHING!
We tend to accept and normalize anxiety about SO. MANY. THINGS.
God. Is. With. You. … Do you TRUST HIM?
Anxiety forms when our focus turns FROM GOD to our circumstances.
Anxiety forms when our dependence is on our own shoulders and not IN GOD.
If we TRUST & BELIEVE God … anxiety has no room to breathe.
Talk WITH GOD about EVERYTHING!
We tend to talk AT God ... and even then, only about a VERY FEW things.
In ALL OF YOUR WAYS acknowledge God … Think about Him. Talk to Him. LISTEN to Him. Consider Him. Follow Him.
Bathe all of your God conversations in GRATITUDE. Thank Him for Who He is. Thank Him for what He has done. Thank Him for what He is doing. Thank Him for what He will do.
Let HIS PEACE guard your heart and BLOW YOUR MIND!
We tend to let anxiety guard our hearts from God’s Peace.
God’s Peace WONT MAKE SENSE to the world and sometimes even to you … your life won’t make sense, your decisions won’t make sense, your attitude/temperament won’t make sense.
His Peace will give you His Strength & His Courage to STEP OUT IN FAITH and live the life He has planned for you!
That’s how He does it!
