Psalms 27:1,4,8,11,14 - “1 Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? … 4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. …. 8 You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, LORD, do I seek.” … 11 Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. … 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD”

Jesus is our PERFECT example of how to walk out your life in complete TRUST & RELIANCE on God. … but David is a GREAT example of a life pursuing God’s own Heart too!

David’s verses here in Psalm 27 is a great place for us to see what a heart after God looks like!

CLAIM His Salvation & IDENTIFY yourself in Him.

• He is your Salvation … He SAVED you … you are saved BY HIM … you are SAFE in Him … what are you afraid of?

• He is the STRONGHOLD of your life … He holds it all together … do you live like that is true? Do you define your life IN HIM? … or are there other elements of your life that you IDENTIFY yourself with more? … other elements of life that you depend on for your life’s foundation?

ASK for & PURSUE His Presence.

• Is GOD’s PRESENCE the one thing that you desire most? … Is His Presence what you are pursuing today?

• Or has success, recognition, justice, money, pity, revenge, ministry, family, pleasure, victimhood, entertainment, possessions, leisure, work, government or ANYTHING ELSE taken over as the goal of your daily pursuit?

SEEK to Know God

• Are you getting to know WHO GOD IS? … or are you more concerned with what God does for you?

• You & I were created to KNOW GOD … and He makes Himself available to be known by us … are we SEEKING HIM?

KNOW, TRUST & OBEY God’s Will

• He will TEACH you His Will & He will LEAD you in & through His Will … will you FOLLOW HIM? … ARE YOU following Him?

WAIT for Him

• Life is going to be hard and troublesome and daunting and scary and intimidating and frustrating and maddening and unfair and challenging and heartbreaking and confusing and painful … don’t let your circumstance shake your FAITH in Him.

• In the waiting … He is your LIGHT.

• In the waiting … He is your SALVATION.

• In the waiting … He is your STRONGHOLD.

• In the waiting … He is WITH YOU.

• In the waiting … you can KNOW HIM.

• In the waiting … He will TEACH you.

• In the waiting … He will LEAD you.

This is a life lived in the REALITY that God is WITH YOU … let this encourage & strengthen your walk today!
