6/26/2025 Daily Devotion: What Is Your Choice?

Philippians 2:12-13 - “12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”

The Christian Walk is meant to be a constant interaction between an individual and God Himself … working TOGETHER to accomplish His Will, to Glorify Him & for our GOOD.

Our Work

• Sacrificing our self & coming to Him for SALVATION … once justified and continuously sanctified.

• Every choice we are faced with throughout a day can be made in dependence on self or in dependence on HIS SPIRIT.

• We work out our own Faith by LOOKING for God, TRUSTING God and then OBEYING God … and then TRUSTING God again to produce Fruit!

• Our work can be simply stated as this … CHOOSE GOD over your self.

His Work

• God does everything else! … God’s Work encapsulates everything except the CHOOSING of Him. He does not force us to choose Him.

• God DESIGNS us.

• God CREATES us.

• God CALLS us.

• God PURSUES us.

• God SAVES us.

• God TRANSFORMS us.

• God PREPARES us.

• God POWERS us.

• God BLESSES us.

• God SANCTIFIES us.

• God works in us to TRANSFORM our thoughts, feelings & desires to be drawn to Him.

• God works in us to POWER us to step out into the Good Works that He prepares for us.

Paul is telling the Philippians here to not depend on him for their Faith … but to engage with GOD HIMSELF in their Christian walk.

• Do you depend on your pastor, small group leader, podcast host or Christian radio to communicate with God for you?

• As a Christian, you have direct access to God … and He desires to be VERY ACTIVE in & through you!

You have one thing to do … CHOOSE HIM over your self.

CHOOSE HIM over and over and over again … HE WILL DO THE REST.
