6/13/2025 Daily Devotion: God Prepares Before God Places

Genesis 1:30-31 - “30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.”

Go back and read the Creation account in Genesis 1 and you will see some amazing Truths about God! … One of my favorites is this: GOD PREPARES THE ENVIRONMENT BEFORE PLACING HIS CREATION.

Quick recap of Creation:

Day 1: God spoke Light

Day 2: God separated the waters with atmosphere

Day 3: God gathered together the Seas, revealing dry land & created plant life.

Day 4: God placed the sun, moon & stars in the heavens for sign & seasons, days & years.

Day 5: God filled the waters with fish & the skies with birds.

Day 6: God filled the land with animals of all kinds and placed man & woman in His Garden.

Look at how God CREATED & PREPARED the environment BEFORE He placed life!

• Plants need light, water & soil to survive … God Created light on Day 1, atmospheric water on Day 2 & fertile land on Day 3 … THEN, after it was ready, He had the Earth sprout forth all plant life!

• God separated the seas & the land, sprouted vegetation as a food source & provided the sun, moon & stars for tracking time & seasons BEFORE placing the fish in the seas, birds in the air & creatures on the land … it was ready for them when God placed them there!

God placed Adam & Eve in His Garden … perfectly prepared for them!

• God’s PROVISION was there … food, water, rest, companionship.

• God’s PURPOSE was there … they were to work & keep His Garden and fill & subdue the earth.

• God’s PRESENCE was there … He walked in the Garden WITH THEM.

The same is true for you! God prepared your environment FOR YOU to step into it as well!

• Ephesians 2:10 tells us that God has Personally Created each one of us for good works … that He has PREPARED FOR US!

• God’s PROVISION is with you … all that you need, He provides!

• God’s PURPOSE is with you … He created you for a reason!

• God’s PRESENCE is with you … He goes before you, He comes behind you, HE. IS. WITH. YOU.

God has PREPARED your environment for you to step into it & God has PREPARED you to step into your environment WITH HIM.
