5/29/2025 Daily Devotion: Do You Care?

Jeremiah 15:16 - “Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts.”

God Loves you and has Personally & Purposefully knit you together for His Will. When you follow Christ, you are adopted into His Family … CALLED BY HIS NAME!

• Do you care what He says?

• Are you actively pursuing HIS WORDS in your life?

• Do you care what He says more than what your friends & family say?

• Do His Words bring you JOY … or are they more of a burden to you?

• Do you care what He says more than what the culture around us says?

• Are His Words the DELIGHT of your heart … or easily tossed aside when more fun options are available?

• Do you care what He says more than what you think & feel yourself?

Where do we find HIS WORD today?

THE BIBLE

• Read your Bible … then read it more. MAKE TIME to read your Bible more and more. Surround your thoughts with His Word. Have a physical Bible and read it. Have Scripture e-mailed to you. Follow Scripture pages on social media. DO ALL OF IT!

• Study your Bible … actually CONSIDER what you read. Take notes. Read commentaries. Listen to sermons & podcasts. Go to Bible Studies. Mark up & highlight your Bible. Let the Word of God CONSUME YOU!

• Know your Bible … be in it enough that it is IN YOU. Memorize verses. Understand the flow from book to book. Connect concepts. KNOW HIM.

• Do your Bible … as you study & consume His Word TRUST & OBEY Him. Be changed by what you read. Draw near to God. KNOW HIM. Be changed & TRANSFORMED by the knowledge & understanding of the LIVING GOD!

HIS SPIRIT

• The Holy Spirit of God is in us as Christ Followers. He speaks directly to our hearts, souls and minds … LISTEN TO HIM!

• He prods & nudges & calls & directs us as we go through moment by moment of our lives … and we are so very good at ignoring Him!

• When we DELIGHT & JOY in Him we seek out these proddings and OBEY them because we have experienced HIS GOODNESS in us through His Word.

• He is inviting you to step out in FAITH and step into His Will WITH HIM as you live your life … are you FOLLOWING HIM? Do you care that He is speaking to you?

The God of all Creation speaks directly to you and to me … do we care?

Find His Word.

Consume His Word.

Delight in His Word!
