2 Samuel 11:1 - “In the spring of the year, the time when kings go out to battle, David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel. And they ravaged the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem.”

Are you supposed to be where you are?

The story of David & Bathsheba includes some pretty dramatic, awful & severely damaging sins from David … in fact, he broke the entire second tablet of the Ten Commandments …

• 6. Do Not Murder ❌

• 7. Do Not Commit Adultery ❌

• 8. Do Not Steal ❌

• 9. Do Not Lie ❌

• 10. Do Not Covet ❌

… But it all started by David not being where he was supposed to be!

• At a time when kings GO OUT … King David REMAINED

Sin has a way of compounding in our lives … we are naturally gifted at it!

• One of God’s best defenses for us to battle the sin that clings so closely to our flesh is OBEDIENCE.

• When we FOLLOW HIM by obeying His Call on our lives we will end up avoiding some major sin entanglements!

• Disobedience breeds more disobedience … but Obedience breeds more Obedience too!

Is God calling you to step out and do something that you are avoiding …. BEWARE!

• Do you feel stuck? … Look for an opportunity to OBEY Him.

• Say Yes … then say Yes again … Start STACKING YESES … step into His Will and FOLLOW HIM.

God’s Will for your life will lead you away from sin & destruction and into Peace & Fulfillment … ARE YOU THERE?
