Philippians 4:4-9 - “4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me--practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
Do you have PEACE in your life?
It is God’s Will for your life that you experience HIS PEACE in everything!
He tells us that His Peace is available to us … so if we aren’t experiencing it, how do we find it?
REJOICE in Him always
We get distracted by the things of this world. Success. Possessions. Acceptance.
The foundation of HIS PEACE is finding our Joy IN HIM and not chasing Joy in other sources.
KNOWING GOD produces Joy in us.
When challenges come … HUMBLY turn to God with GRATITUDE and talk WITH Him about it.
Anxiety comes when we fear an unknown outcome … anxiety & Peace cannot coexist in the same heart at the same time.
When we take our fears to God, He will very rarely make an unknown outcome known … so how does this help our anxiety?
TRUST, He is Trustworthy … we take our fears to Him and are able to TRUST HIM to work it all out for our good … if you don’t Trust God, it is because you do not KNOW God. (Return to the previous step!)
The PEACE OF GOD will not make sense, it is beyond our understanding … but it is AVAILABLE to you and to me!
The Peace of God frees us up from the weight of fear, anxiety & pressure to get it all right.
This FREEDOM allows our thoughts to see God’s Goodness in our lives & or actions to FOLLOW & OBEY His calling on our lives.
